Liam – MIDDLE SCHOOL

When I stopped making Liam’s videos at age 10, there was a decent amount of discourse in our family.

I could understand that.

Family videos all started with Liam’s, after all. The point of these have always been four dimensional in concept….

  1. Collect, organize and celebrate life memories.
  2. Make these videos highly accessible and easy to find for future generations.
  3. Deliver the ‘feels’ accurately
  4. Make my kids feel like rockstars. Because life is hard enough and kids (all kids) are amazing and need to be reminded of so.

But the plan was never to stop making them after 10 years old. Just to “realign” the occurrence of them. Making a ‘middle school’ video was always the path. I kept that secret though.

The intro of this video is particular meaningful to me. Only twice before have I done an intro in front of the main video, those were Luca’s autism diagnosis and Leo’s recap of his rough newborn year. Intro videos are important. They have a high bar. I don’t take doing them lightly. To say it plainly, this intro exceeds the bar in emotion and ‘feels’.

As always, I feel so honored to make these videos. The long nights with just me and the footage is truly magical.

We love you Liam. I can’t believe you’re basically a high schooler. Where just like everything else in life…..you will be magnificent at!

Watching you grow up has been nothing short of delightful.

Happy Graduation :)

Hawaii 2024 / Happy Birthday Linds

Trip of a lifetime would be an understatement. While Lindsey’s family was familiar with Hawaii, the culture and vibes….I was a first timer.

What an amazing trip full of memories, scenery and beauty. The best way I could describe it would be “it feels like you’re on another planet.” The culture, the breeze, the people, the food and the vibes.

Happy Birthday Linds! Thank you for being my partner in life, thank you for being my best friend, thank you for being the reason I strive to be a better person everyday…. But most of all, thank you for being you; an amazing human being.

Love you

Your tattoo partner :)

Connecticut / NYC 2024

I made it a personal goal for 2024 to visit home more. Of course there are obstacles in this; finances, time, obligations, etc. To be honest though, whenever I finally get up there, it’s worth all of it.

I’ve been wanting to take Liam for a while. He has a special bond with Connecticut and I want him to experience as much of it with me as we can.

I purchased tickets back in October for this chilly, frigid January trip. What helped tremendously was my Dad purchasing Knicks tickets as a Christmas gift for Liam, myself and my brother. Once those were purchased, the excitement only grew.

Snow, Knicks, New York City.

Liam couldn’t wait.

What an amazing trip it was. While in NYC we also went to the 9/11 Memorial Museum which was ‘out of this world’ amazing.

Seeing family, being back home and experiencing all of it with Liam was such a blessing to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip and I’m quite positive Liam would say the same.

So long 2023

Thank you to everyone who followed my photo journey this year. To be transparent, I never thought I would post everyday, all year long. But somewhere in the Spring I really grew attached to the idea.

With that said, I will miss posting everyday. But, maybe there is an opportunity for 2025. For now, I will return to posting in my day one journal.

As for the future of this site, I will post more written word. More videos, more experiences in 2024. I am looking forward to some thought pieces again. I haven’t written long form publicly in a while.

Thanks as always for the support. Have a safe and happy new year!

See ya next year : )
